He tropezado con la revista musical "Blender", una especie de magazine musical que se editaba en cdrom con portadas llamativas a base de artistas con cuerpazo. La revista en cuestión publicaba muchas listas de canciones sobre los temas musicales más diversos. He escrito en pasado lo de publicar porque en 2009 dejo de editarse para pasar a ser http://www.blender.com/, una web bastante austera en comparación con la revista.http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blender_(revista)
Pues bien, dos de esas listas son: "las 50 peores canciones de la historia" y "los 100 mejores discos indie"Como siempre ocurre con las listas, no son todos los que están y no están todos los que son. Pero como curiosidad e información son muy valiosas.

De entre los cinco primeros de la lista me hace tilín el de The Replacements. Que discazo de cuando no había cedés ni mp3 ni hostias. Os dejo el disco entero para que lo escuchéis si os place. Lo tendréis que ver/oir en youtube para continuar oyéndolo cuando dejéis el blog, cosa que tardará en ocurrir, ¿no?
LAS 50 PEORES CANCIONES (50 Worst Songs Ever)
En el enlace o en la captura de pantalla de más abajo podéis acceder a la lista completa con posibilidad de escuchar unos segundos cada canción para reconocerla. Es una base de datos musical muy completa hecha por un americano, muy generoso, llamado Dave Tompkins.
Repasando la lista se ve que es muy subjetiva, también acertada en muchos casos, y que hay algunas canciones que nos han hecho gracia, mucha gracia, en su tiempo como Shiny Happy People de REM o The Sound of Silence de Simon & Garfunkel.

Admirad lo acertado del número 1 de la lista. Indignos sucesores de aquel mítico Jefferson Airplane, luego Jefferson Starship y por último, este engendro de nombre Starship.
